30 Days of Creativity – Day 11: Noticing

Day 11: Stop and look around you.  There is something in this room you’ve never noticed before. What is it?

There’s a little corner in our living room that often gets neglected or just unnoticed. Usually we have an end table and a pile of library books on the floor. Lots of sun comes pouring into this corner too… well, when it’s a sunny day, which has been far and few between this Spring. On this particular day, the kids have made a little tent, their little fortress. The perfect little nook for some imaginative play… I love that. And, I guess it’s not that I’ve never noticed this corner before, it’s that there’s a lot of fun, creative play in this space.

What space are you in right now? What do you notice?

  1. I like that that corner has become that space for them. It’s a space that kids can feel “safe” because they won’t get trampled there and they can transform that space in their minds and in reality.
